Sevenoaks Hockey Club

Well after a lovely weekend away with some friends on a Yoga Retreat in the south of France, I’m now busy catching up on some work emails and was thrilled to hear the great news that our very own local Sevenoaks Hockey Club, has won the best European Hockey Club award for 2015. Congratulations to all the volunteers coaches and players who have worked very hard to make it such a brilliant club. Great for men, ladies, and juniors. Here is their website for any further details. http://sevenoakshockeyclub.co.uk

New Tunbridge Wells Hotel – One Warwick Park

I am very excited to tell you all about this gorgeous new hotel opening just down the road in Tunbridge Wells, Kent next month. The former brewery and old school house has been exquisitely refurbished and offers a high-end venue for a night away or a dinner with friends. www.onewarwickpark.co.uk.  You can eat in the Restaurant, The Terrace, or simply enjoy Afternoon Tea and then drinks with friends in the Lounge Bar. I highly recommend catching the train from Sevenoaks to Tunbridge Wells as due to the A21 road works you can often get held up. I’ll be rounding up some local Sevenoaks friends as we all love a new local venue!one-warwick-park-hotel-bedroom.jpg

Heading to the beach

Summer has finally almost arrived and we are beyond excited here in Sevenoaks. This weekend is due to the hottest weekend of the year so far and I’m sure many of our locals here in Kent will be heading down to the seaside. Only one hour from Sevenoaks and on the edge of the picturesque village of Rye, is Camber Sands, a long sandy wide beach with loads of sand dunes and space for everyone to enjoy. This is one of my favourite days out, take the kids and the dog and head down this weekend but be sure to get down there early as the traffic can be busy. Directly opposite the entrance to the beach is the lovely Gallivant hotel http://thegallivant.co.uk which serves delicious food but you must book ahead as it gets really busy when the weather is good. On the way home it’s always a must for us to stop off at the local Rye Bay Fish and stock up on the local caught Sea bass and Rye Bay Scallops. Enjoy! http://scallop.org.uk/rye-bay-fish/. Enjoy
