The gorgeous summer of 2018 has created a bumper year for our Kent Wineries. We have many local wineries not far from Sevenoaks with outstanding wines. Our most local one called the Mount Vineyard in Shoreham is becoming increasingly popular as a venue for parties and events. If you haven’t already done so then I suggest you take a look at themountvineyard.co.uk. It’s a super day out in the pretty village of Shoreham.
The new Bradbourne Car Park close to Sevenoaks Station will re-open from Monday 10 th April 2017 with a 420 new spaces. New levels of charging will apply which will give customers much more flexibility. i.e. park for 1 – 5 hrs only 1 pound per hour. The normal charges are the same, 7 pounds daily and 1,110 annual season.
The nearby Sennocke will be closed so that building can start on the new Premier Inn Hotel.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted as I’ve been away with the family in sunny Australia avoiding the winter blues! I’m now settling back into Sevenoaks life and it’s literally freezing! Yesterday never got above 0 degrees but I think it’s warming up for the weekend. Yippee!

The big news in Sevenoaks is the approval of the hotel chain Premier Inn, which will be built opposite the station, work will commence early Summer 2017. The Council-led project is intended to address a historic shortage of hotel accommodation for both leisure and business particularly in Sevenoaks town. Despite having many world class attractions, there are few hotel beds and most visitors choose to stay in neighbouring areas only making day trips here. Good news for the town which is growing very quickly due to its proximity to London and the fantastic rail links to London

Life has been hectic here in Sevenoaks with end of school term events but now the kids are full into holiday mode I wanted to share with you some of my picks of fun things to do.
1. Paddock Wood Drive in Cinema – https://www.moonlightcinema.com. We’ve booked to go on Saturday night to see the new Jungle Book. Groupon have a special deal for 16 pounds per car. Open up the boot and pack it full of duvets/chairs and everyone will be happy!
2. Shoreham Lavender Farm – http://hopshop.co.uk. This wonderful display of Lavender in the fields of Shoreham Kent is spectacular. Last year I booked one of the massages in the fields with a group of friends. I highly recommend it but don’t forget to book well in advance as it’s very popular!
